Meet Captain Trey Senterfitt
The Local Pro Fisherman Of Choctawhatchee Bay
Captain Trey Senterfitt is a US Coast Guard licensed Captain with over 40 years of experience. He is the owner and operator of Rising Son Expeditions fishing charter. His extensive local knowledge will be invaluable to making your inshore fishing charter a memorable experience for you and your family or fishing buddies.
Captain Trey Senterfitt was raised around his father’s marina and fish camp on Black Creek, which is located between Santa Rosa Beach and Freeport, FL. He was curious to see what guys brought in at first. He then began fishing from his dock in the hopes of catching fish as large as those brought in. After gaining some success, Captain Trey started to realize that he could do this on his own and he was hooked! As a youngster Trey was able to fish with some of the best local fisherman. From this he has gained a really broad understanding of his local fishing grounds and knows about every trick there is when it comes to targeting picky fish like Redfish.
Captain Trey came into fishing driven by his desire to learn more about it and to learn more about his local fishery in particular. Captain Trey is constantly learning and loves to spend time doing hands on research of his local fishing grounds. Trey also really enjoys sharing the knowledge he has gathered over his years on the water with his clients. He specializes in providing top notch experiences to both seasoned anglers and beginners. Since Trey grew up fishing with and learning from local legends he is always eager to pay it forward and teach the next generation of anglers the tricks of the trade.
He prefers using an open-faced spinning rod and reels, and live baits. Nonetheless, there are other fishing techniques he offers, and will gladly teach you how to use them. He specializes in Redfish, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, and Sheepshead to name a few. He also is known for his freshwater bass fishing in the Choctawhatchee River.
